Bad Hare Day

woke up to a bad hare day....woke up to another bad hare day

but before you roll your eyes and send me on my way

I'm jus' sayin' it's a bad hare day.....

darn those kids they spilled their breakfast, they're messy as pigs with a pail

but hold up just a minute.....those aren't Cocoa Puffs

and there's a rabbit at the end of that trail

how did I end up with all these rabbits anyway?

yeah, I woke up to a bad hare day

I tried to make a call from the phone in the hall.....no dial tone, the thing has gone dead

then I see the cord....it's in pieces, two pieces

I just start shaking my head

......guess I didn't need to make that call anyway

after supper, wanna watch some TV but the remote's no where to be found

then I hear the nibbling under the couch

the buttons all completely chewed down

you'd think Id know better than to let 'em roam free

but they're not just rabbits, they're fur-kids to me

tryin' to get some sleep but they're thumpin' their feet "momma, we heard somthin' out back!"

but it was just a trick and they're giggling, then asking,

"since you're up can you bring us a snack?"
